We celebrated the arrival of Spring on the first of September by adding a Boot Camp workout to our normal program. It turned out to be a great success! By adding some cardio exercises to our Pilates group classes was an excellent way to get rid of that extra kilo or two that settled on our bodies during the cold winter months. For their hard work the ladies and gentlemen were rewarded with a complimentary healthy take away smoothie at the end of the session. On request from very satisfied clients we have decided to add a Boot Camp session regularly to our program. Let the change begin!
The paving is finally completed and the increased parking space makes arriving and leaving much easier. Steady work is being done on the second Studio and we are aiming to get that finalised as soon as possible. We want to thank you all for your patience during these alterations.
Please be reminded that we offer health assessment to all our clients.
– Body Fat % : Body fat percentage refers to the amount of body fat mass in regards to the total body weight expressed as a percentage.
– Visceral Fat : Visceral fat is the fat that is in the internal abdominal cavity, surrounding the vital organs in the trunk (abdominal) area. This is nasty stuff that builds up around your organs and one of the hallmarks of metabolic syndrome, a proven precursor to diabetes and heart disease. Ensuring that you have healthy levels of visceral fat may reduce the risk of certain diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure and the onset of type 2 diabetes.
– Skeletal Muscle % : Muscle is divided into two types, muscle of internal organs such as the heart, and skeletal muscle attached to bones that is used to move the body. Skeletal muscle can be increased through exercise and other activity. Increasing the skeletal muscle % means that your body can burn energy more easily and is less likely to turn to fat, producing an energetic lifestyle.
Let’s look forward to the new season that has finally arrived in all its glory. We promise to continue to work hard to help you maintain and achieve your fitness goals. Remember, the person who really wants to do something finds a way, while the others find an excuse.
